Thank you for attending the 2009 PAW Conference!

The Planning Association of Washington (PAW) would like to thank you for attending our very successful 2009 conference at Semiamhoo Resort, “Navigating Currents of Change”. There were over 100 attendees that heard an outstanding opening welcome message from Gary Tomsic, Blaine City Manager and attended sessions on topics from conserving agricultural lands to preparing for climate change and our always informative Plenary session. Other highlights were created by Mr. Sturgill, Founding Director of Drayton Harbor Maritime, in both the pre-conference presentation and Plover cruise.

Please don’t forget our conference sponsors and without their support PAW would not be able to accomplish all that we do. The 2009 conference sponsors included Puget Sound Partnership, Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife, Alliance Consulting, Washington State Department of Ecology, Washington State Department of Commerce, ESA Adolfson, International Society of Arboriculture-Pacific Northwest Chapter, PMC, Parametrix, Cherry Creek Environmental, Perteet, and Washington Cities Insurance Authority.

Everyone is always interested in receiving their AICP CM credits... are they there yet?? For those of you who have not been constantly checking the American Planning Association (APA) website for the CM credits, APA has accepted all sessions submitted for CM credit and are now posted to the website. APA has informed PAW that the site is more user friendly and that you should have no difficulty in finding CM credits. They suggest that you use the calendar (http://www.planning.org/cm/search/) as the easiest way to locate the CM credits.

Again, thank you for your attendance at the 2009 Navigating Currents of Change Conference at Semiahmoo Resort. We look forward to seeing you at our 2010 Conference in Vancouver, WA, August 10 through 13, 2010.
